The Seattle Public Schools Athletics Foundation proudly celebrates 75 years of Seattle All-City Band!

For more than seven decades, the Seattle All‑City Band has been one of Seattle Public Schools’ most joyful ambassadors — uniting students from across the district, rehearsing three nights a week, and lighting up more than 20 parades and community celebrations each summer with its signature energy, choreography, and award‑winning performances. Under the direction of Dr. Marcus Pimpleton — now in his 33rd year with the band and 23rd as director — the All‑City Band continues its proud tradition of musical excellence, student leadership, and community spirit. Friends of All‑City Band, a dedicated booster group of alumni, parents, and current members, helps sustain this beloved no‑audition program and keep it accessible to every SPS student who wants to participate.
